John's Island Driving Tour

This is a funky tavern with great food. They welcome the entire family. The menu is eclectic and satisfying. They often have live bands. The outdoor seating area is a Low Country style favorite spot.

A legendary Live Oak tree which is over 65 feet tall with an ancient canopy of limbs. The public is allowed access to see the tree for free (donations are accepted to preserve the site). This is accessable seven days a week 10 am - 5pm (excluding holidays)

Public boat landing/ boat launch

Located on Johns Island, between Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island, this is an open-air shopping and dining experience. You can grab an ice cream or rent a bike and cruise the bike paths over the marshes leading to Beachwalker Beach Park. I bet you will see wildlife on your bike ride.

This is a public beach located just outside the gated community of Kiawah. There is limited parking in the Charleston County Park parking lot. The beach is expansive and beautiful. Do you want to see dolphins? This is the place to come. Walk or ride a bike about a mile south on the beach around low tide to the Captain Sam's Inlet. Dolphins are known to feed in this inlet around low tide. Check Google for local tide times for Kiawah Island on the day you plan to visit.

Farm stand known for seasonal fruits, vegetables, honey and seafood. They also have wonderful specialties like Key Lime Pies, breads, dips and soups
